Sandusky is a community in Erie County with an estimated population of 25,000. The downtown City of Sandusky is located on the southern shore of Lake Erie midway between Cleveland and Toledo with access to both of these major urban areas.
The shoreline of Sandusky extends 22 miles and the downtown area has some of the most beautiful public waterfront in Ohio. There are private marinas, a yacht club, boat ramp and plenty of public access fishing. This area boasts many restaurants, pubs, storefronts and a theatre as well.
Sandusky has many lake based industries like fishing, ferry services and shipping. There is also a wide base of industrial foundries, construction products, metal fabricating, automotive parts, paints, food processing equipment, and plastics / vinyl products manufacturers.
